The moon has been sighted meaning Eid-Ul-Adha will be on Wednesday 28th June 2023.
We would like to wish everyone Eid Mubarak and to allow our team to celebrate our joyous religious occasion, we will be closed on Wednesday 28th June 2023 so all of our colleagues to spend the day celebrating with their loved ones and enjoying some time off to rest and.. eat as much as they can during their Eid feasts! They deserve it!
Therefore, we will be closed on Tuesday 27th (as normal) and Wednesday 28th June 2023 and will reopen from Thursday 29th June 2023.

IT’S SNOWING…AGAIN…IN MARCH…!
Dear All Valued Customers and Friends,
Due to the severe weather conditions across the UK, we will not be opening the restaurant today. All the reservations we had have cancelled and it is also difficult for us to travel in from Chester.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We will be back open from 5pm on Friday 10th March with all safety measures in place to make sure our customers are safe in and around our premises.

EID MUBARAK!
The month of Ramadan has flown by this year and Eid-Ul-Fitr will be on Monday 2nd May 2022 after one more day of fasting on Sunday.
We would like to wish everyone Eid Mubarak and thank our entire team who have been working tirelessly to serve our customers to the highest of standards throughout the month whilst fasting from dawn to dusk every day without any food or drink (yes, not even a sip of water!)

We will be closed an extra day this week to re-charge our batteries! We believe the team deserve it after a difficult couple of years and a very busy festive period! Therefore, we will be closed on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th January and will be back open from Thursday 6th January 2022.

NEW CORONAVIRUS RUELS FOR WALES FROM 26th DECEMBER!
Dear All Valued Customers and Friends,
The Omicron variant is spreading really quickly and is very easy to catch which is why covid numbers in Wales are rising.
The Welsh Government has announced new rules from tomorrow, 26th December, to help stop the spread of the virus.
For us at Indian Lounge, this means we will be continuing to implement certain procedures ourselves as we did after all the previous lockdowns and we hope all customers can follow them.
> Maximum of 2 hours dining time to give staff adequate time to thoroughly clean and sanitise all surfaces before the next sitting and to avoid overcrowding.
> Reservations to be made over the phone on 01352 741737 and must be confirmed by a member of staff. We cannot accept any reservations via our social media accounts.
> In door seating capacity reduced to ensure social distancing. Maximum of 6 diners allowed per table.
> Customers to supervise their own children at all times.
> Face masks must be worn when ushered to your table and going to the toilets.
> Takeaway collection point will remain at our outdoor dining area.
> Takeaway customers who would like a drink can do so in the outdoor dining area if seating is available and must follow the social distancing measures.
> Track and Trace is in operation.
> Please use hand sanitiser provided upon entry to the restaurant.

WALES IN TIER 4 LOCKDOWN FOR THE FESTIVE PERIOD!
Dear All Customers & Friends,
We were looking forward to welcoming all of our lovely customers to dine in with us over the Christmas and New Years festive period this year after the unprecedented and difficult year we have all had with Covid-19.
However, we have been dealt another kick in the teeth as unfortunately Wales has been placed in Tier 4 lockdown from midnight tonight, so we have to remain closed for dining in until further instructions in the upcoming new year.

ALCOHOL BAN FOR WELSH PUBS & RESTAURANTS!
Dear All Valued Customers,
Today, First Minister Mark Drakeford announced that Pubs, Restaurants, Cafes and indoor entertainment venues in Wales will be banned from serving alcohol from Friday 4th December and will be unable to remain open after 18:00.
As The Indian Lounge is only open in the evening, this means we will unfortunately not be able to operate our dining in service again until further notice.

WALES IN FIREBREAK LOCKDOWN!
Dear All Valued Customers,
As you may be aware, earlier this week the First Minister Mark Drakeford announced that Wales will be going into a “time-limited firebreak” and this “short, sharp” national lockdown will commence from Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November.
This means that the hospitality industry must shut so we will unfortunately not be able to operate our dining in service again until further notice.

CUSTOMER UPDATE
Dear valued customers and friends,
We hope everyone is keeping well and safe 🙂
As you may be aware, the latest guidelines in Wales state that restaurants are able to reopen again to customers for dining in, to which we have been inundated with requests and questions regarding whether we will also be reopening and when.
Unfortunately, we are going to hold off reopening our dining in service for the time being, just to see how the situation unfolds. With a rise in Covid-19 cases in the North Wales area, we believe the safest option for now is to continue only with our takeaway service.
We hope everyone understands our position, as for us, the safety of our customers and also our employees is the most important factor. We will continue to monitor and review the situation on a daily basis and keep you updated on our website and social media profiles.

CUSTOMER NOTICE
Dear valued customers,
Due to the current outbreak of Covid-19, we are currently experiencing difficulties in sourcing materials and ingredients for our dishes. Unfortunately due to the supply costs and demand, suppliers have increased prices by as high as 30-40% in some cases.
Ultimately, as a result we have to take measures in order to keep the doors open for trade. Therefore, our menu prices may differ day to day from our existing prices and there will be a slight increase.
We sincerely hope you can understand our position in all of this and will continue to support us in which is proving to be a difficult time for everyone.

We hope everyone is well and safe in these testing times.
In light of the British governments decision today of restaurants, bars, pubs etc. having to close to help fight the Coronavirus, we will unfortunately not be able to operate our dining in service from tomorrow (Saturday 21st March 2020) until further notice.
However, we will remain open and continue to provide our takeaway service to the highest standard as always. So please keep supporting us throughout this difficult period.
Any changes or updates will be posted here on our website as well as our Facebook page so please keep an eye out or give us a call if you have any queries.
Once again, we are closed for dining in but remain open for takeaways!
